Study of the effects ofMorinda morindoïdes (Back) on the immune system
Morinda morindoïdes (Back) is a plant of traditional Congolese pharmacopeia widely used in the treatment of many diseases such as malaria, diabetes, dermatitis, bacterial disease and pruritus.
The study of the immunologic activity ofMorinda morindoïdes shows that the aqueous extract, administered to patients over a period of 10 days, significantly reduces (p < 0,05) basophiles polynudears, a task cells for anaphylactic reaction.
This effect on basophiles polynuclears, associated with anticomplementary activity would suggest the antiallergic activity ofMorinda morindoïdes.
